World Pharmacists Day 2024 History

World Pharmacists Day was first celebrated in 1991 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). The day was chosen to coincide with the birthday of the first president of the FIP, Dr. Gerhard Brandes.

Since its inception, World Pharmacists Day has grown in significance and recognition. It provides an opportunity to raise awareness about pharmacists’ vital role in healthcare and promote the pharmacy profession.
