Coal India Limited (CIL), a Maharatna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Coal, CIL seeks to induct young, energetic, and dynamic individuals as Management Trainees (MT) in various disciplines. The recruitment process is conducted through online applications, followed by a Computer Based Test (CBT) and subsequent selection procedures. This initiative aims to identify and nurture talent, ensuring the company’s continued leadership in the coal industry.
Selection Process of CIL MT
Selection in CIL MT will be based on the marks obtained in the Computer Based Online Test (CBT) only. The details regarding the date of CBT will be intimated through the Admit Card for CBT.
a) Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria before applying. Admission to the Computer Based Online Test is provisional, and if shortlisted, their candidature will be subject to document verification. Any submission of false information, fabricated documents, or failure to meet eligibility criteria will lead to immediate cancellation of candidature.
b) Candidates can choose three Test Cities in order of preference during the online application, which cannot be changed later. CIL reserves the right to allocate any Test City and modify the list of cities based on the number of applicants.

c) Final merit panel will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the Computer Based Online Test only. The final list of selected Candidates against the vacancies will be uploaded on the CIL website. These Candidates will be intimated about document verification (DV) & Initial Medical Examination (IME) on the CIL website and also on their registered E-mail Id only.

CIL MT Application Fee
Candidates in the GENERAL (UR), OBC, and EWS categories must pay a non-refundable fee of ₹1,180 (₹1,000 + ₹180 GST) via online mode only. SC/ST/PwBD candidates and CIL employees are exempt from the fee. The payment should be made through the specified online method, and CIL is not responsible for payments made to incorrect accounts. The fee is non-refundable and will not be adjusted for future recruitment activities. Candidates must verify their eligibility before applying, as no other fees are charged by CIL
