The selection process
The exam for UPPSC PCS is conducted by the board Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). Candidates ranging from the age group of 21 years to 40 years apply for the exam that takes place through offline format.
The selection process for the right candidates takes place through three steps and these are Prelims, Mains, and Interview. The exam is conducted in the languages English and Hindi. The exam form can be filled up by visiting the official website of uppsc.up.nic.in

The Salary Structure for 2020
The UPPSC PCS salary structure is changed from the year 2019 to 2020 after the 7th pay commission.

The pay band of the Junior scale is now between Rs. 9300 to Rs. 34800, where Rs. 4600 is the respective grade pay. The grade pay for the Naib Tehsildar is of Rs. 4200. Again, the pay band of the senior scale has been revised to Rs. 15600 – Rs. 39100 where the grade pay is of Rs. 5400.

- At the entry-level, the pay scale is Rs. 56,000 to Rs. 1,32,000.
- When the candidate has served satisfactory for at least 5 years, the pay level is increased from the entry-level to Level 11 and the pay scale is Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 1,60,000.
- After serving for 12 years without any interruptions or any kind of issues, the pay level is increased once again to Level 12 where the pay scale is of Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 1,91,500.
- After achieving a service period of 16 years and also depending upon the seniority level, the Pay level is increased to Level 13 and here the pay scale increased to the amount of Rs. 1,18, 500 to Rs. 2,14, 100.
- After the candidate has completed at least 5 years in the Pay Level 13 without any kind of hindrances, the Pay Level can be increased again to Pay Level 13A depending upon the seniority structure. In this case, the pay scale reaches out to the amount of Rs. 1,31,100 to Rs. 2,16,600.
- If the candidate has completed at least one year of service in the Pay Level 13A, the candidate can be upgraded to Level 14 with a pay scale of Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200. This rise in level is again based on the seniority structure in the position.
- On completion of 5 years in Level 14, the candidate can reach up to Pay Level 15 where the pay scale amount is of Rs. 1,82,200 to Rs. 2,24,100.
