Unlock 3.0 Guidelines PDF: India is all set to enter into the phase of Unlock 3.0 from 1st August 2020. It is important to note that the COVID-19 positive cases in India have now crossed 1.48 million and the number of still growing at an alarming rate. The continuous lockdown situation of the country has hampered the economic condition of the country also to a great extent. Keeping this in mind, unlock 3.0 will be introduced from 1st August 2020 with a new list of guidelines in different sectors and industries. The National Disaster Management Authority has mentioned that the areas out of the containment zones shall open up with certain restrictions, while the containment zones will have lockdown extended until 31st August 2020.

Activities Outside Containment Zones 

Educational institutes such as schools, colleges, and others will stay closed until the date of 31st August 2020. The online classes shall continue as it is in such a situation. 

For entertainment; places like swimming pools, malls, theaters, auditoriums, shall also remain close. For traveling, domestic as well as international air travel, will start operating. Large congregations such as that of religious, entertainment, social, political, and others will remain close.

Gyms will open from 5 August and the guidelines for them will be provided in the separate SOP for maintaining a proper social distancing. 

Independence Day is just two weeks away and many places may have planned different events for the same. In this regard, the functions and events of Independence Day will be allowed at different levels with proper health and safety protocols such as maintaining of social distancing, wearing proper face masks, and others. 

Activities within Containment Zone

The lockdown will continue till 31st August 2020 in these zones. The exact containment zones of an area will be marked by the authorities of the District management. 

There will be no movement of individuals in these containment areas apart from emergency services and essential supplies. Surveillance on the houses will be conducted so that contact tracing can be done. Clinical testing can be also conducted whenever required by the authorities. All the instructions mentioned by MoHFW will be strictly implemented in these areas. 

There will be no such restrictions on the movement of the inter-state or intra-state movement of goods but there will be surveillance as these areas can be Buffer zones. This means though the areas outside the containment zones may not have cases or lesser cases, the movement may cause an increase in the infection for which strict surveillance will be needed. 

The movement of special trains and the movement of the passengers shall be strictly maintained as by the SOP mentioned for COVID19. 

The foreigner passengers will be allowed within the country by maintaining strict protocols such as getting tested at the airport and following the quarantine guidelines. 

Pregnant women, aged people above 65 years, children below 10 years, and other ill people are suggested to stay at home unless there is not an emergency to step out. 

All the individuals are suggested to install the Arogya setu app on their smartphones and update it regularly to help their family as well as the Government to curb this disease.

  • Face masks are mandatory at all public places. 
  • Social-distancing of 6 feet is important at all public places.
  •  Gatherings such as marriages should have not more than 50 people while funeral rites should not have more than 20 people. 
  • Spitting in public places and consumption of alcohol, tobacco, paan and similar items in a public place will be punishable. 
  • Work from home shall be conducted if possible. 
  • If not then, the employees should sit with the social distancing of 6 feet and should not share anything. 
  • Regular screening of individuals is necessary for all common areas such as offices, shops, and others. 
  • Frequent sanitization of commonly touched areas such as door handles and others is a must.
