Dear Aspirants,
SBI PO Prelims exam will start from 1st July this year. The admit cards have been released by SBI and its time to gear up with your preparations. Many students must have already started with their preparation as the competition will be very tough. Also, SBI has posed a new challenge by introducing sectional timings in prelims exam this year. So, time management needs a very serious attention this time along with speed and accuracy. The exam will consist of three sections, with 20 minutes allotted to each section. So, you need to follow a strategy to attempt maximum questions with great accuracy.
Here we will discuss a strategy as to how to deal with all the sections individually.
Reasoning Ability
- This section can be attempted with high accuracy if you practice well.
- Do not go for solving puzzles at first. First attempt the questions which are easy to attempt like inequalities, coding-decoding, order and ranking etc and then go for syllogisms and blood relations.
- Now go for puzzles and seating arrangement questions and if the question does not strike you well, don’t waste much time on it.
- Try to attempt atleast 25-30 questions in this section.
Quantitative Aptitude
- This section can be solved with good accuracy but you need to select the questions carefully.
- First of all go for the questions in which you are good at. Solve number series, simplification, approximation and quadratic equations.
- Next, you can solve DI. There are atleast 10 questions from DI out of which 6-7 can be easily attempted. So go for those questions first.
- Attempt miscellaneous topics at last and do not stay at a single question for too long.
- Only ample practice can make you crack this section. Try to attempt atleast 25-30 questions in 20 minutes in this section.
English Language
- English section will be a game changer this time. Earlier students used to spend 10-15 minutes in this section. But now total 20 minutes are allotted for this section alone. As you will have sufficient time for English, you will be tempted to attempt more questions but you have to be very careful while attempting the questions.
- Attempt those topics in which you are good and properly read the questions while attempting.
- Attempt Reading Comprehension and Parajumbles at last.
- Do not make guess attempts.
- Try to attempt 20+ questions with good accuracy to make a good score.
