1. Camaraderie [kah-muh-rah-duh-ree, -rad-uh-, kam-uh-] 
Noun: comradeship; good-fellowship.
Synonyms: companionship, intimacy, togetherness, cheer, companionability, comradeship, conviviality, fellowship, gregariousness, jollity.
Antonyms: gloom, bad blood, dislike, hate.
Example: In a clear repudiation of the Indian practice of keeping Palestinian leaders prominently in the loop, Mr Modi made a point of not visiting the Occupied Territories.
2. Repudiation [ri-pyoo-dee-ey-shuh n] 
Noun: the act of repudiating; the state of being repudiated; refusal, as by a state or municipality, to pay a lawful debt.
Synonyms: abrogation, cancellation, disapproval, disavowal, refusal.
Antonyms: approval, acknowledgement, confirmation, ratification.
Example: India’s evolving ties with Israel no doubt are based on pragmatism and the desire to eschew hypocrisy — but Mr Modi has infused his visit with a symbolism and substance that could well mark a point of departure in India’s moral support to the Palestinian cause.
3. Pragmatism [prag-muh-tiz-uh m] 
Noun: character or conduct that emphasises practicality; a philosophical movement or system having various forms, but generally stressing practical consequences as constituting the essential criterion in determining meaning, truth, or value.
Synonyms: advantage, advantageousness, advisability, appositeness, aptness, benefit, convenience, desirability, effectiveness, efficiency, fitness, helpfulness.
Antonyms: disadvantage, inappropriateness.
4. Eschew [es-choo] 
Verb: to abstain or keep away from; shun; avoid.
Synonym: abandon, avoid, forgo, forswear, renounce, shun, shy away from, swear off, abjure.
Antonyms: face, keep, meet, take on, embrace, like, love.
5. Hypocrisy [hi-pok-ruh-see] 
Noun: a pretence of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess; a pretence of having some desirable or publicly approved attitude.
Synonyms: bigotry, deceit, deception, dishonesty, duplicity, fraud, insincerity, mockery, affectation, cant, casuistry, display, dissembling.
Antonyms: fairness, frankness, honesty, openness, trustworthiness, truth, truthfulness, uprightness, forthrightness.
6. Infuse [in-fyooz] 
Verb: to introduce, as if by pouring; cause to penetrate; instil (usually followed by into); to imbue or inspire (usually followed by with); to steep or soak (leaves, bark, roots, etc.) in a liquid so as to extract the soluble properties or ingredients.
Synonyms: animate, imbue, impart, impregnate, inculcate, inspire, instill, intersperse, invest, leaven, permeate, pervade, saturate.
Antonyms: dehydrate, discourage, dry, take out.
Example: Perhaps this is why Mr. Modi’s address to Israelis of Indian origin in Tel Aviv, with a promise to address visa issues and improve air connectivity, had an emotional pitch different from his meetings with the diaspora elsewhere in the world.
7. Diaspora [dahy-as-per-uh, dee-] 
Noun: (usually initial capital letter) the scattering of the Jews to countries outside of Palestine after the Babylonian captivity; (often initial capital letter) the body of Jews living in countries outside Israel; (often initial capital letter) such countries collectively; any group migration or flight from a country or region.
Synonyms: dispersion, dissemination, migration, displacement, scattering.
Antonyms: return.

Example: However, the best friendships are judged not just by bilateral bonhomie, but by the ability to discuss uncomfortable issues.
8. Bilateral [bahy-lat-er-uh l] 
Adjective: pertaining to, involving, or affecting two or both sides, factions, parties, or the like; located on opposite sides of an axis; two-sided, especially when of equal size, value, etc.; Biology. pertaining to the right and left sides of a structure, plane, etc; Chiefly Law. (of a contract) binding the parties to reciprocal obligations; through both parents equally.
Noun: a bilateral agreement, especially regarding international trade.

9. Bonhomie [bon-uh-mee, bon-uh-mee; French baw-naw-mee] 
Noun: frank and simple good-heartedness; a good-natured manner; friendliness; geniality.
Synonyms: agreeability, agreeableness, amenity, amiableness, congeniality, cordiality, friendliness, geniality, good-naturedness.
Antonyms: aloofness, coldness, coolness.

10. Loop [loop] 
Noun: a portion of a cord, ribbon, etc., folded or doubled upon itself so as to leave an opening between the parts; anything shaped more or less like a loop, as a line drawn on paper, a part of a letter, a part of a path, or a line of motion; a curved piece or a ring of metal, wood, or the like, used for the insertion of something, as a handle, etc.; a circular area at the end of a trolley line, railroad line, etc., where cars turn around.
Synonyms: coil, curve, bend, circuit, circumference, convolution, curl, eyelet, hoop, kink, knot.
