Success Story of Yogesh
Hello friends, my name is Yogesh. With the grace of god, I have cleared this year’s SBI PO. I have scored 52.67/100 and has got the Bhubneshwar circle. I am a user of Adda247, I have availed its service of mock tests and GK. I am writing this to share my experience, strategy for preparation that i relied upon and amount of efforts this exam requires.
I was originally preparing for UPSC but couldn’t clear prelims2020 so I changed my track and started preparation for government jobs. ‘Within 3 months, I managed to clear this exam’. DO NOT BELIEVE THE LAST SENTENCE. It’s true that I have prepared for 3 months for this exam, but I have a good strong background also that helped me clear this exam in such short amount of time. I had prepared for CAT way back in 2016 where i got my aptitude strong, last 2 years of UPSC preparation had made my GK section stronger and i also developed an appetite for sitting for longer hours with efficiency. I would like to say that we are average, LET’S ACCEPT THAT. There is grand competition and we need to feel the brunt of it to some extent atleast to exploit positive results out of it.
On my strategy side, i would like share some key points-
1. KNOW YOUR RIVAL- You must go through exam pattern and detailed syllabus multiple times during your preparation. This will always help you to get the best out of your time. You would only be doing relevant things.
2. GO THROUGH PREVIOUS YEARS- Try taking previous years as mock test. Go through each test atleast twice and you’ll see patterns of types of questions i guarantee that. It will help you do smart hard work.
3. TAKE MOCK TESTS- In regular intervals. This is the only way that you will understand which questions to take on and which ones to stay away from(that’s more important). You must do time analysis on each question that ADDA provides in its analysis. For example- I came to know that I could solve quadratic equations questions within 30 seconds in every test, this way i know clearly it is my strong area.
4. WRITE DAILY GK- It’s true adda provides compendium but if u want a better hold, just write all daily gk in a diary(just the heading and key points, one news hardly takes 2 lines). Revise weekly, I guarantee you 25/40 atleast.
That’s it from my side, i hope my strategy helps you. I wish you all the best for 2021. ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS.
Thank You
