Hello Everyone,

I am Shikha, I got selected in IBPS Clerk, Punjab National Bank, Uttar Pradesh region.

I started preparing in 2015 for competitive exams. But as it was my first interaction with the outside world, it was very difficult for me to convince my parents for allowing me for preparation. Financial constraints were still there which I handled by giving tuition classes. Till 2017 I prepared purely for the SSC exam but later on, I switched towards Bank exams.

At the start, I felt I had made a wrong move because English and GS seemed unconquerable. I was not even able to understand the questions of the English section and was confused about where to prepare for GS. Also, the changing pattern of the question, puzzles, and sectional cut-off had demoralized me. On the other hand, my mother’s health condition always troubled me and consumed much of my time and energy. Not only this, my relatives’ constant push for my marriage had been agonizing and cumbersome.

At one point I thought of nearly quitting preparation. My own health was not in a good shape, due which even after clearing Pre-exam I had failed in Mains exams on a few occasions. But I know the importance of Government. job. Getting it will empower me towards freedom, self-reliance, and financial independence. God had inspired me and again I pushed myself, but this time with more clarity as I had known my weaknesses.
