Success Story of Shalini Chauhan Selected as IBPS Clerk in Punjab National Bank

Hello Everyone, 

Today I got this great opportunity to share my success story with Adda247. I am SHALINI CHAUHAN from Uttar Pradesh. I had Completed B.Tech from Computer Science in 2019. I started my preparation from January 2019 as I wanted a government job so I decided to go for banking. 

Then I decided to take offline Coaching But couldn’t get much benefit because mostly offline coaching follows old patterns and today’s banking exams are based on a new pattern. So after completing my coaching I bought Test series, books & video courses of Adda247.

After completing my graduation I had given various banking exams in 2019:

• SBI PO- Out in Pre
• SBI Clerk – Out in Pre
• South Indian bank- Couldn’t clear
• EPFO Assistant – Out in pre
• EPFO SSA- Out in pre
• IDBI bank- Couldn’t clear
• RRB PO & Clerk- Again out in pre
• Nainital bank- Couldn’t clear
• IBPS PO- missed pre by 2 marks
• LIC Assistant- Cleared Pre but Out in mains
• FCI Manager- Out in pre
• IBPS SO- Out in pre

IBPS Clerk- Finally Selected After so many failures!!

Cleared IBPS clerk in 1st attempt and got my 1st preference Punjab National Bank. 

As you can see after failing in 13 pre and 1 mains, I finally got to succeed. So we should never lose hope, should always try for the best and give our best to make our parents and teachers proud. There was a time when I used to think I won’t be able to clear any exams as I kept failing in pre even. But my parents always motivated me, they supported me and I stand up again and started preparing with more energy and determination.

I kept working on my weak areas and made my stronger area stronger. The practice is the key to banking examination which can sail you through. So practice a lot as much as you can. 

Here is my Section-wise strategy:

Reasoning Section: Purchased Adda247 book and practiced questions. Watched Radhey sir videos, one of the best faculty of reasoning. Kept practiced high-level puzzles. 

Quant Section: Purchased Adda247 book and Video course of Sumit Sir. I cleared all my concepts and practiced from the Adda247 test series.

English Section: First clear Grammar rules, Practiced questions. Daily read articles from THE HINDU(Helped a lot with Vocab too).

General Awareness: The key to sailing through this section is REVISION. Used to Read Daily Current Affairs from Adda247 App, attempted quizzes, weekly & monthly revision. Lastly, at the time of the exam, I used to do revision from CAPSULE.

The test series of Adda247 is really up to the exam level.

Lastly, I Want to thank my parents without whom I won’t be able to achieve this & happy for making them proud. And also thanks to the whole Adda247 team for such support with my studies in providing such a great level content, test series, etc.

Good things take time and I will not stop here, Want to become a PO and will continue my preparation for the same.
