Success Story of Ritika Joshi Selected As RRB PO & Clerk
Hi everyone. My name is Ritika Joshi and I am going to share my journey of 2.5 years with you all. I am a PGDB holder and have worked in ICICI Bank as a deputy manager for a year. Then in 2019 June, I started my banking preparation. I used to clear every prelim but always failed in mains. In 2020 I even cleared RRB PO mains but was not able to make it to the final list. Then in 2021, I got into RRB Clerk and finally, on 1st January 2022, my dream came true by being a government bank officer in UP Prathama Grameena bank.
For a lot of people, this might be a very small job or some say a RURAL job. But I believe that every job is a blessing in disguise when it comes to the era of unemployment. I feel blessed as there are lakhs of candidates are fighting for this one seat on which I am going to sit now and so should all the selected candidates. Being a girl and coming from a conservative family, my journey to success was not easy. With the Orthodox people surrounding around me, every day I had to get up and the First fight from the inner me and then the outsiders. But thanks to my PARENTS, as in such phase they have always encouraged me to focus on my goal. Believe me guys, without your parent’s blessings and support, you cannot achieve anything in your life. Their support is the only strength and will be always. So respect them and be with them forever.
Now I will be sharing my strategy with you all subject by subject.
Quantitative: First clear your basics chapter by chapter. Don’t leave a single topic and focus more on DI after completing the arithmetic portion. I did this in 3 months and then did practice from the ADDA247 ACE quant book. Honestly, this subject was easy for me and I find it interesting and challenging too.
Reasoning: the most favorite subject, not only mine but I guess for every other candidate. Practice as many puzzles as you can but in mains do the miscellaneous part first and then go for puzzles and that to select first in which you are comfortable and then do it. This is the key to ACE this section.
English: The subject demands reading. A lot of reading and then practice reading comprehension. At least 2 RC a day is enough. Try to comprehend and do learn vocabulary and grammar rules from the adda247 videos.
General awareness: This was my weakest section and all thanks to Gautam sir who made this subject so easy and interesting. The key is to watch videos daily and then on the weekend revise with the videos he comes up with.
Lastly, I want to give a big thanks to ADDA247 for being supported with its motivational articles. Thank you so much for giving me this platform so as to share my journey of success. I wish everyone all the best in their future endeavors.
