I express immense gratitude to God for giving me this opportunity to prove my worth. Today is the day after the result of the SBI Junior Associate has been declared. I have been waiting for this day for so long. I have lived this moment thousand times in my head and when it is here, there aren’t enough words to express the feeling. I always imagined myself as an independent individual and when I faced a time when I was not working, it pierced my heart. That’s when I decided to dedicate my whole soul to this goal. After 1 month of marriage, I started preparing for competitive exams. I started my preparation in February 2022 and that was the beginning of a tremendous journey. I did coaching for three months where I used to sit alone in a corner and study. I made no friends there and if talking to someone it was because of study. I had to manage my schedule as I’m a married woman. I woke up early in the morning to make my husband’s lunch. I used to finish all the household chores as soon as possible. Being in the house, I never took a warm meal. I used to make lunch in the morning. It seemed laziness for some but for me, it was saving time for my studies. Of course, I used to get tired but my aim was very clear to me. I had to be an independent lady. There’s no financial crunch or dependency on me, but still, I wanted to have my identity. And when you have a respectable job that gives you designation, it gives you value in society as well. Studying as a student is obvious but studying after marriage is challenging. There were times when I was unable to attend gatherings. This left a negative impact on many but if I cared about all that, I don’t think I’ll be sharing this success story with everyone. The major strength that get me going was my husband. He supported me through all the thicks and thin. He was there as a shield for me all the time. He himself is a successful banker so he understands the importance of this struggle. He used to motivate me all the time and he consistently does so. Regarding my preparation strategy, I was not able to dedicate 8-10 hours to my study but I utilized every bit of time that I got. I completed all the chapters. I used to study current affairs through the Adda247 app. I gave many sectional tests. There were days when I used to score poorly. But due to the motivation of my loved ones and determination, my morale never went down. I practiced a lot. I utilized each and every day with total zeal and integrity. I don’t have a count of the mocks I’ve given to reach a level that I never imagined to be on. Though I got selected as an SBI clerk still I have not left studying and practicing because study never goes in vain. Today, when I look back, I see a year full of struggle, hard work, pain, sacrifice, and taunts but above all, “firm determination”, and “obsession” to become something, to give a reason to my family to be proud of. All these factors brought me here. Also, I’m awaiting the results of the IBPS Clerk, IBPS SO, IBPS PO, SBI PO mains (cleared), and FCI AG3. Achievement becomes meaningful when you know in your heart that you have given your 100% to it and that you have earned your success through your own hard work. I just wanted my parents to be proud of their daughter. The happiness which I have seen in their eyes was priceless and precious. My younger brother appreciated me. My husband is a sweetheart. I don’t think I would be here if he wasn’t there for me all the time. He is my shining star, a real knight in shining armour. He was there with my ups and downs, he has seen my struggle closer than anyone else.
I dedicate this success and many more to come to my parents, my brother and saving last for the best my loveable husband.
