“Failure cannot disturb you till you have the desire to succeed”.
Hello Everyone,
My Name is Avi Srivastava, I started preparing for the Banking exam from 16th September 2018. After passing out from Engineering College, I already had two good offers (software jobs) in my hand, but I did not want to go into the IT sector. So, I thought to go for SSC CGL. But due to the delaying process and flinching nature of the same, I changed my mind towards Banking. But being new to the banking field and also having just 1 month for the preparation of IBPS PO prelims, I did not know how and from where to begin.
Practice with,
- SBI PO Prime 2020 Online Test Series
- JAIIB COMBO (ALL SUBJECTS) | JAIIB 2020 | LIVE CLASSES | BILINGUAL
Then on Youtube ADDA 247 channel, I found Radhey sir and Sumit sir and I started following them. My first ever Banking exam was IBPS PO Prelims 2018. I qualified with very good marks. But since I was new to the Banking sector, I was unaware of the PO Mains level. I drastically failed in IBPS PO Mains. After that, I was completely disheartened but was determined not to give up so early. I figured out my weak areas and joined online classes of Radhey Sir and Sumit Sir and started following them religiously. The next exam was IBPS clerk prelims which I qualified with very good marks. Then next was Canara Bank PO PGDBF. Due to my silly mistakes, I ruined this exam. Then after regularly practicing and studying GA on a daily basis, I finally appeared for IBPS Clerk Mains. Finally, on 1st April 2019, I got my first selection result of IBPS clerk and this marked the beginning. The bank allotted to me was UCO Bank.
Subsequently while working at UCO Bank, I was also selected as PO in Bihar state Cooperative bank with state rank-2. Then I appeared for the IDBI Assistant Manager exam, SBI clerk 2019, FCI assistant exam and cleared all. Sadly I missed to grab a seat in the final merit list of SBI PO but cleared IBPS RRB PO Mains. By this time I had made my mind to choose IDBI AM, so skipped RRB PO interview. Currently, I am working with IDBI Bank as Assistant Manager and posted in the Regional processing unit, Pune.
I want to give all credit to my parents who supported my decision of not joining the IT sector and preparing for what I wanted, and especially my Adda 247 faculties for guiding and nourishing me so well. The most important thing I learned during my journey is that “Failure cannot disturb you till you have the desire to succeed”.
Thank you!
