Work Hard In Silence, Let Success Make The Noise: Saroj Kumar Sahoo (IBPS PO, Canara Bank)

Hi Friends,

I am Saroj Kumar Sahoo from Odisha state. Today I am going to share my success story, I always read success stories of others but now I have got a chance to share my own. My journey for the Banking sector started in September 2015. Though I was a very good student throughout my career, I completed my Btech without any job in my hand. I prepared hard in my core sector but didn’t get any success. After that, my Father suggested me to try in the Banking sector.

My journey in Banking so far…..

In 2015:

IBPS PO- Could not clear the Prelim exam, my score 36.50, but cutoff was 37.50.

IBPS CLERK- Cleared the Prelim exam, but failed in Mains exam, my score 126, but cutoff was 152.

Laxmi Vilas Bank Junior Officer- Cleared the written exam, but didn’t get a place in the final merit list.

In 2016:

LIC AAO- Couldn’t clear the written exam

SBI CLERK– Cleared the Prelim exam, failed in Mains exam, my score 126 but cutoff was 130

SBI PO- Cleared the Prelim & Main exam but couldn’t appear the interview due to some issue.

UIICL AAO- Couldn’t clear the written exam

RRB CLERK- Couldn’t clear the Prelim exam, my score 67.50 but cutoff was 67.75

IBPS PO- Cleared the Prelim exam but failed in Mains exam

IBPS CLERK- Could not clear the Prelims exam, my score 68.25 but cutoff was 70.75

LAXMI VILAS BANK PO- Couldn’t clear the written exam

IPPB PO- Couldn’t clear the Prelim exam

KARUR VYSYA BANK CLERK & PO- Cleared the written exam but didn’t get a place in the final merit list.

In 2017

SBI PO- Cleared the Prelim exam but failed in Mains exam.

IBPS CLERK- Couldn’t clear the Prelim exam

IBPS RRB CLERK- Selected in UTKAL GRAMEEN BANK

IBPS RRB PO- Selected in KARNATAKA VIKAS GRAMEENA BANK

IBPS PO- Selected in CANARA BANK

After many failures, Finally, I got a chance to taste the sweetness of Success.

I am not giving you any strategy because you all are smart & followers of BANKERSADDA. In the early stage of my Banking exam preparation, BANKERSADDA was my only platform to prepare. Every post of BANKERSADDA is error free & helpful. I always solve daily quizzes & note the important points. One thing I want to say you from my initial preparation to till now I have not given any speed test/online test but each & every time I focus on my basic knowledge. If your basic is clear then you can attend any type of difficult question. Always I try to find out how to approach new-new types of questions; though it may take me more time to solve, right approach always makes me different from others.

Finally, I want to say Prepare in your own way & in your own style but try to make some difference in your preparation, so that you can compete with lakhs of students.
