“Never Give Up on Your Dreams”: Harsha (IBPS Clerk, Bank of India)

This is Harsha. Before I say anything else, I would like to let all the aspirants know one thing- NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS. 

I’ve been working as a software engineer in a good MNC for over a year. Now, I had been preparing for banking exams since 1.5 years. Never was my preparation complete because I did not like to read general awareness. I was strong in English and Reasoning and good in Quant. I have given two attempts of SBI PO in which I have cleared the prelims in the second attempt. I have given three attempts of IBPS PO in which I have cleared the prelims always and have missed the mains by 10 mark>I hail from computer science background so, I have also given SO examination in which I have missed the cutoff by 0.28. That day, I felt as if I was cheated by my self. because 0.28 mark due to lack of preparation has prevented me from getting my dream job. Nevertheless, I tried because I wanted to give one more year towards my interest in the banking field. By gods grace and proper guidance from my sister(who has cracked IBPS PO in 2014 and introduced me to Bankersadda and ample material from Bankersadda, made my dream come true. I’m allocated to Bank Of India. All the best to all the aspirants.

For all the aspirants who are currently working, I know how difficult it is to manage time and prepare for competitive exams. But interest and motivation is all you need to get things done.

One thing that gives me happiness is that I’m one of the 300 odd candidates from Andhra Pradesh (the cutoff is usually high) who got selected for a good bank. That gives me a lot of confidence to pursue my future dreams.

On a final note, regarding the study material, I would like to insist everyone to just follow Bankers adda. You have more than what you need to crack a bank job only at Bankersadda. In the beginning, I used to search for other websites as well but Bankersadda meets all the requirements. Kudos to the team!
