Failures Will Make You Stronger: Hoshiyar Singh Kanodia (IBPS Clerk)

Hello, My name is Hoshiyar Singh Kanodia and I am from Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan.

Getting success is harder than it looks. It all started in 2014 my first banking exam RBI. I was new in this region. Did not even know when the result was announced. Then I don’t know from where a thought came in my mind I want to ibps. I started preparing for ibps after that. I cleared ibps clerk pre in the very first attempt but couldn’t clear the mains. I started to study very hard then. I had decided no matter what happens I want to clear the ibps exam. Again in 2015 and 2016 I cleared all the pre-exams but couldn’t clear any mains exam. After that in Feb 2017, I got selected in Karnataka bank as a clerk but I chose not to do it. then in 2017 ibps exam. 

I boosted my confidence to fight the exam again. And this time I couldn’t pass IBPS RRB but I cleared ibps po pre and clerk pre. I must say bankersadda really helped me a lot.  youtube classes really put my confidence on another level. Then it was the turn of ibps po mains I study very hard even in my dreams I never thought I can be devoted to something that much. I gave my 100% on the exam. I was pretty sure that I will clear this. But sadly the result wasn’t in my favor I missed ibps po mains by 0.75 marks. Then I knew it is now or never opportunity for me I had my clerk mains exam. And that failure just thrashed my overconfidence of clearing the exam. Now I was in a state where I knew this is my last ibps exam I need to be confident and devoted to studies only. 

I had a pretty good exam and this time I knew I am selected (if nothing goes wrong). I had already left Karnataka bank clerk opportunity and I got selected in ICICI Po Programme as well in March 2018. And again I left icici. Because I know I will join a bank only if I am selected in ibps. And finally, I cleared ibps clerk mains exam in 2018. After 21 ibps exam failures, I managed to pull it over the line. Is baar Ghar pe Diwali jaldi aa gayi. Everyone is happy. My mom and dad’s reaction was priceless.
