By March 2025, the State Bank of India will hire candidates not only for its routine positions like clerical and officer posts but is also focusing on specialized roles. As part of its modernization and expansion strategy, the bank will recruit professionals in Data Science, IT, Network Operations, and other technology-driven roles to boost its digital banking capabilities.

The bank announced that 8,000 to 10,000 new employees will be added to its existing workforce to support its ongoing branch expansion plans. At present, SBI manages a network of over 25,000 branches nationwide. The bank has also planned to open around 600 new branches across various regions.
