  • The Mains is the second stage of the SBI PO 2025 exam, consisting of an Objective Test and a Descriptive Test.
  • The Descriptive Test is conducted immediately after the Objective Test.
  • The Objective Test includes 170 questions from four sections, carrying a total of 200 marks.
  • The total duration for the Objective Test is 180 minutes (3 hours).
  • There is a negative marking, with 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect response.
  • The Descriptive Test assesses communication skills through Emails, Reports, Situation Analysis & Precis Writing, carrying 50 marks and must be completed in 30 minutes.
  • Candidates must clear the minimum score in each section and the Descriptive Paper individually. Cut-offs are determined based on vacancies, and only qualified candidates proceed to Phase III.
