Q1. Quantity 1: Total distance travelled by Ajay and Vijay together. Ajay and Vijay travel the same distance at the rate of 3.5 km per hour and 4 km per hour respectively. Ajay takes 45 minutes longer than Vijay.




Quantity 2:
No. of days taken by Abhay and Vijay together to complete the whole work. Abhay is twice as good as Vijay and is therefore able to finish a piece of work in 36 days less than Vijay.

Q2. Quantity 1: Speed of Ram. Ram takes 3 hours more than Shyam to cover a distance of 45km. If Ram doubles his speed, then he takes 2 hours less than Shyam.

Quantity 2:
No. of days in which A, B, and C will complete the work working together. A and B can do a work in 10 days together, while B and C can do the same work in 12 days together while C and A can do the same work in 15 days together.

Quantity 2: Initial no. of workers. Some workers can do a work in 80 days. If 20 workers join the work, the same work finished in 60 days.

Monthly income of 4 persons
= 7350 × 4 = Rs. 29400
Monthly income of 3 persons (excluding the dead person) = 6500 × 3 = Rs.19500

Q5. Nine persons went to a hotel for taking their meals. Eight of them spent Rs. 12 each over their meals and their ninth spent Rs. 8 more than the average expending of all the nine. Total money spent by them was:
