Directions (1-5): Study the following information carefully and answer the questions given beside.
In an amusement park, the following types of traffic signals are there to drive a toy car.
Red Light (R) = Stop
Yellow light (Y) = Wait
Red and Yellow lights (RY) = Turn left
Red and Green lights (RG) = Turn right
Yellow and Green lights (YG) = Go at 20 km per hour
Red, Yellow, and Green lights (RYG) = Go at 10 km per hour
Green light (G) = Go at 5 km per hour
All children driving the cars inside the amusement park should compulsorily follow the traffic signals and can’t go outside the park to drive the car. A girl Ankita who is facing north, drive the car at the speed of 30 km per hour inside the park and encounters the signals in the following manners. (She can go to the next signal only after passing the previous signal)
Starting Point = S
After half an hour, 1st signal – RY and YG
After 15 minutes, 2nd signal – RYG
After 30 minutes, 3rd signal – RG and RYG
After 15 minutes, 4th signal – RG and YG
After an hour, 5th signal – RY and G
After 2 hours, 6th signal – R
Q1. What is the total distance that Ankita travelled from the starting point till the 6th signal?
Q2. What is the average speed at which Ankita travelled from the starting point till the 6th signal?
Q3. Suppose, in park there is no signals then approximately how much less time Ankita would have taken to reach the final position?(End position is fixed.)
Q4. If at the starting point, Ankita was facing toward south then what would be the final position from the starting point?
Q5. After the starting point, if the first signal was RG and RYG instead of RY and YG then what would be the final position of Ankita from the starting point?
Q6. Quantity I: Value of P. Manoj lend Rs. P for three years on S.I. at the rate of 15% per annum and Rajesh lend Rs. (P + 8000) for two years on C.I. at the rate of 8% per annum. Suresh borrowed sum equal to what Manoj and Rajesh lend, for two years on C.I. at the rate of 20% per annum. Suresh paid interest Rs. 5352 more.
Quantity II: Investment of B. A, B and C entered into a partnership with some investment for one year. After one-year A got 2/5 profit and B and C got equal part of remaining profit. If total profit after one year is 15% instead of 10% of total investment made by them, then A got 900 Rs. more.
Q7. Quantity I: No. of times A and B meet together in 5 minutes. Two persons A and B are standing diametrically opposite on a circular track with a radius of 3.5 units. They start running in an opposite direction on the circular track and their speeds are 4 units/minute and 7 units/minute respectively. On meeting each other they take rest for half a minute and then start running with twice the original speed.
Quantity II: No. of days required by 32 women and 64 boys together to complete the same job. A man works twice as fast as a woman. A woman works twice as fast as a child. 16 men can complete a job in 12 days.
Q8. A boat cover 60 km upstream and 60 km downstream in 22.5 hr with its usual speed. If boat double its speed then new upstream speed is 150% more than the usual upstream speed. Find the time taken by boat to cover 80 km in downstream with usual speed.
Directions (9-10): Ramesh and Suresh decided to meet at a common point at the same time in the river. Ramesh had to travel 42 km upstream in the river and Suresh had to travelless distance downstream than that of Ramesh to meet at a common point. They both sets off in their respective boats at the same time and speed of Ramesh’s boat is 20 km/hr more than the speed of Suresh boat. It is given that Suresh covers 280 km upstream in 35 hours.
Q9. Find the speed of stream of river?
Q10. After meeting, if they decided to return to their original places but Ramesh travelled for 19 km and Suresh travelled for 16 km, then what is the sum of time taken by both in covering these distances?
Directions (11-15): Find out the wrong number in the following number series.
Q11. 14, 29, 41, 63, 65, 131, 133
Q12. 2478, 819, 257, 84, 24, 5
Q13. 4, 6, 12, 30, 90 , 315, 1240
Q14. 289, 266, 285, 270, 281, 275, 277
