SBI PO Nationality
- The candidates must hold Indian Citizenship.
- A Subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
- A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement.
- A Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, and Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India
Note: Candidates belonging to the category 2, 3, and 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India in their favour if willing to apply for SBI PO.
SBI PO 2025 Application Fees
For the SBI PO 2025 application, the fee structure is as follows: SC, ST, and PWD candidates do not need to pay any application fee, while candidates from General and other categories need to pay Rs. 750. The fee must be paid online and is not refundable. Once the candidates have paid the fee, it cannot be transferred to another exam or held for future use. SBI PO 2025 Selection Process
The SBI PO 2025 includes the various stages of the selection process which are as follows:
- Prelims: The first stage of SBI PO 2025 is the preliminary examination. The questions asked in Phase I are objective type and candidates 10 times the number of vacancies are shortlisted for mains exam.
- Mains: The second stage of SBI PO 2025 is the main examination. The questions asked in Phase II are objective as well as descriptive type and candidates 3 times the number of vacancies is shortlisted for the Psychometric Test, Interview & Group Exercise.
- Psychometric Test, Interview & Group Exercise: The third stage of SBI PO 2025 includes a Psychometric Test, Interview and Group Exercise. Those who score the minimum qualifying marks will be called for the final selection as Probationary Officers in SBI.
Candidates should qualify for each of the stages. The scores achieved in the Main Examination (Phase II), including both the Objective Test and the Descriptive Test, will be combined with the scores from Phase III to determine the final merit list. Scores from the Preliminary Examination (Phase I) will not be considered while preparing the final merit list for selection.

Biometric Verification: The bank may digitally capture the thumb impression of candidates to ensure a secure and accurate selection process. If there is any issue with the biometric verification, the candidate will be disqualified and may face legal action. To avoid problems, candidates should not apply any external substances like ink, Mehandi, or chemicals on their hands.
Number of Attempts: The number of attempts is limited for each category. Candidates who have used all their attempts are not eligible to apply. The General and EWS categories have 4 attempts, while OBC and PWD categories have 7 attempts. There is no restriction on the number of attempts for SC/ST candidates. Also, only the Mains Exam attempt is counted, not the Preliminary Exam.
SBI PO 2025 Exam Centre
The SBI PO 2025 exam will be held at various centres across India. Candidates need to choose their preferred exam centres for both the Prelims and Mains when filling out the online application form. The SBI PO Cut Off will be announced after each phase of the exam is completed. These cut-off marks are based on the overall performance in the written exam and interview not just on individual sections. The cut-offs will vary for different categories of candidates. The preliminary cut-off will be declared after the results of the prelims and the cut-off for the Mains exam will come after those results.
