SBI PO 2021-22 Interview Experience

Hello friends, I am here to share my first SBI PO interview experience. As my reporting time was eight O’clock in morning, I took a cab and arrived at the venue 15 minutes earlier. From there I was gently guided towards the building for DV(Documents Verification), which was already going on. So I advise candidates to arrive 15-30 minutes before the reporting time.

There were total 6 panels and for each panel a separate document verification team, of 4-5 people, was there. Before going for document verification candidates have to go for IRIS verification and then KYC using Aadhaar Card. After these two verifications finally document verification was done. The staff members were very helpful and humble and document verification went very smoothly and then I was provided an I-Card mentioning my panel number and sequence number. All these verifications were done by nine O’clock. After half an hour we were  taken to the another building where interview was going to happen.

The interview was on 13th floor and we were made to sit and relax in a conference room and were provided with refreshment. At ten O’clock interview started and I was third. So I entered the room when my number came feeling somewhat nervous. There were a total of 5 members in the panel including 4 male members and a female member. One Male member who was looking the senior most was seated in middle and two members were to the left and two were to the right, in an inverted U shape. I greeted all of them and they asked me to sit down and remove my mask. They all were very gentle and tried to calm everything down. These are some of the questions that were asked by them.

Middle Member: So you are an engineer, Why banking after engineering?

Me: I knew this question will be asked and 50-60 % of my interview was revolving around this only and the discussion was great.

Left member: Some basic functions of banking.

Me: I answered that.

Left member: Some questions regarding NPA and loans.

Me: I answered almost all of them with confidence.

Female member: Then mam asked me about the NPA of SBI.

Me: I didn’t knew this so I apologized.

Central member: Some points about budget.

Me: I  told 2-3 key points which I could remember at that time.

Central member: Some HR related questions.

Right member: Then the last question was related to my hobby which was cooking.

Then they said All the best Ashish, I said thank you to all of them and left the room. My Overall experience was decent. I think I did well and rest will be know when result comes.
