Hello everyone,

My name is Shokhy Rawat. Persistence, Patience and Practice – these are the 3Ps of preparation for me that sustained me throughout my journey. Initially I wasn’t very successful. I gave SBI PO 2018 couldn’t clear prelims, IBPS PO 2018 couldn’t clear mains, NIACL AO couldn’t clear prelims and LIC AAO couldn’t clear prelims. But I persevered and didn’t let the failures keep me down. SBI PO is my first ever selection and an achievement I am proud of.

My preparation strategy is as follows :

Quantitative Aptitude– This was my weakest section but I knew I can’t run away from it. So I started by clearing my concepts and practicing as much as I could. Adda247 provides us with daily quizzes which were really helpful for me.

Reasoning – This was one of my strong point. If you want to ace this section you will need a lot of practice. The only mantra for this section is practice, practice and practice.

English – This is my strength area as I had done my graduation in English. I practiced a lot of mock questions. Those who are weak in English should go through newspaper and english comprehensions. I watched English series and cartoons which helped me a lot.

GA– This is the most feared subject for due to its dynamic nature. But you need to know it is the most scoring as well. I started following daily current affairs of Adda247 after failed attempt in IBPS PO Mains. But if you are serious make sure to follow the Daily CAs and make notes of important topics. Read weekly current affairs for weekly revision and try to read only business /economics page of the newspaper.

Mock tests– I bought mock tests from Adda247 for SBI PO mains. They helped me a lot. When your are left with 10 days, give a mock daily. Besides this solve previous year questions and again practice quizzes as much as you can.

GD and Interview – This part is the most exciting one to be very honest. In this section they will not judge you on how much and what you know, they will only test you on how you interact and handle a situation. Passing the mains exam is the test of your knowledge, but the interview defines your personality. Just be yourself, keep calm and relax. Both GD and Interview will test your conversation skills, so relax and be focused. All the best to every aspirant out there. Believe in yourself and you will achieve great heights.
