Q1. Quantity I- the initial quantity of milk (in lit) in a container which contains the mixture of milk and water in the ratio of 5:3. If 10 liters milk is added in the mixture, the ratio becomes 2:1.
Quantity II- the total quantity of the Initial mixture (in lit), the ratio of water and alcohol in a mixture be 2:5. If 40 liters water is added in the mixture, then ratio becomes 2:1.
Q2. Quantity I- The profit Percentage earned by shopkeeper, A shopkeeper marks up the price of an item by 40% and sold it at the discount of 20%.
Quantity II- The Profit Percentage on selling on both articles, Veer sold 2 articles at the same price, he sold 1st article at 25% profit but he losses 10% on the 2nd article.
Q3. Quantity I- the simple interest on a sum of money Rs. 4500 invested at rate of 7% for 3 years.
Quantity II- the compound interest on a sum of money Rs. 4000 invested at the rate of 10% annually for 2 years.
Q4. Quantity I- the curved surface area of cone of radius 6 cm and height 8 cm.
Quantity II- the curved surface area, of the cylinder of radius 5 cm and height 7 cm.
Q5. Quantity I- the total time taken (in days) by A and B working on alternate days starting with B to complete the whole work, A and B can do a piece of work in 12 days and 18 days respectively.
Quantity II- the time taken (in days) by A and B working together to complete the work, A and B can do a piece of work in 24 days and 20 days respectively.
Q6. Quantity I- The total percentage discount, given by the shopkeeper on giving three successive discounts of 10%,20% and 25%.
Quantity II- The area of the square S1 built on the diagonal of a square S2 is what percentage more than the area of a square S2?
Q7. Quantity I- the distance (in km), covered by a train in 5 hours, it covers same distance in 1 hour early if its speed increased by 30 km/h.
Quantity II- 600 km
Q8. Quantity I- X, 40% of X = 40% of 200 + 30% of 100.
Quantity II- Y, 25% of Y = 35% of 240 + 25% of 120.
Q9. Quantity I- number of boys, the number of boys in the class is 15% more than that of girls. The difference between the number of boys and girls be 9.
Quantity II- Number of Boys = 68.
Q10. Quantity I- time taken (in min) to fill the tank when both pipes opened simultaneously, inlet pipe A is 5 times more efficient than inlet pipe B to fill the tank. Inlet pipe A alone can fill the tank in 21 min.
Quantity II- time = 18 min.
Q11. Quantity I- Compound interest (in Rs.) on a certain sum of money P at 10% per annum for 2 years.
Quantity II-Simple interest (in Rs.) on a same sum of money P at 7% per annum for 3 years.
Q12. Quantity I- Speed of Train (in kmph) which covers a certain distance of 720 km at constant speed. If speed of train increased by 60 kmph, then journey would take 2 hours less.
Quantity II- Average speed (in kmph) of a train which covers half journey at the speed of 120 kmph and half of journey at the speed of 140 kmph.
Q13. Quantity I- Age of B (in years), if the ratio of the ages of A, B and C are 1:2:3 and the average of their ages is 20 years
Quantity II-Average age (in years), if the ages of A, B and C are 12 years 3 months, 14 years 6 months and 27 years 3 months respectively.
Q14. Quantity I-Volume of Sphere (in 〖cm〗^3), if the radius of the Sphere be 7 cm.
Quantity II-Volume of Cube (in 〖cm〗^3), if the total surface area of cube is 150 〖cm〗^2.
Q15. Quantity I- Speed of train (in m/s), which covers 180 km long distance in 4 hours.
Quantity II- Speed of train (in m/s) of length 240m crosses the 120m long bridge in 9 sec.
