There are 4 Sections in RBI Grade-B 2018 Phase-1 exam namely English, Reasoning, General Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude.

QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE (Difficult)

The level of quantitative aptitude was difficult and many students found it lengthy as well. There were two sets of DI one was a Bar Graph and the other was a Tabular DI. There were no separate questions of approximation, however like the recent trend in bank exams miscellaneous arithmetic questions were based on use of approximate value.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE (Difficult)

The level of English was Difficult. There were three set of RC in which one was based on a passage related to China and Taiwan Currency. A new pattern based cloze test was also introduced in the English Language Section of this exam.

REASONING ABILITY (Moderate-Difficult
)

The level of reasoning was Moderate – Difficult. There were 4 puzzles and sitting Arrangement based on following pattern: Linear Seating Arrangement of 2 variables (single line), Square seating arrangement of 2 variables, Box based puzzle and there was one more set of puzzle.

GENERAL AWARENESS (Moderate)

General Awareness had 80 questions for 80 marks. This section is moderate for those who knows banking terms and were well versed with static awareness. Around 8 to 9 questions covered the static general knowledge portion and most of the questions were from current affairs of April, May, June and July. There were no question s from budget. The questions covering banking awareness were related to RBI.
