In CTET exam, a certain number of people were selected through various stages (written, group discussion and personal interview) and finally 100/3% of total candidates who appeared for the written exam were selected. 25% of total students who appeared for written exam were from UP, 50/3% of total were from Delhi, 100/3% of total were from Haryana, Rajasthan and Bihar together and rest were from MP and Panjab together. Ratio of male to female in those who appeared for written exam from UP and Delhi was 2 : 1 and 3: 2 respectively.
Ratio of students who appeared for written exam from Haryana, Rajasthan and Bihar respectively was 2 : 1 : 2. Ratio of students from MP and Punjab who were appeared in the written exam was 1 : 2. Number of students who appeared in written exam from Punjab was 13700. The total no. of students who finally got selected in CTET were 40% from UP, 25% from Delhi, 20% from Haryana, Rajasthan and Bihar together and rest were from MP and Punjab together.
Q1. Find the total no. of students from UP, Bihar and Rajasthan together who appeared for written exam.

Q7. There are total 30 students is in class ‘A’ and class ‘B’ together. Average marks of class ‘A’ is 30 while average marks of class ‘B’ is 36. If total marks of class ‘B’ is 80% more than that of class ‘A’ then find total number of student in class ‘B’?
Q8. What is the area of the hall if the Material cost for flooring is Rs. 250 per m2, while labour cost of flooring the hall is Rs. 3500 and the total cost of flooring the hall is Rs. 14500?
∴ total material cost = 250 x
Labour cost = Rs. 3500
∴ 250x + 3500 = Rs. 14500
X = 11000/250=44 m²
Q9. Anushka has certain amount with herself. She invested half of amount in scheme ‘A’ which offers compound interest at the rate of 10% p.a. and remaining half in scheme ‘B’ which offers compound interest at the rate of 20% p.a. If after 2 years she earns total interest of Rs5200, then find the amount Anushka has initially?
Q10. Satnam invested Rs 4000 each in two schemes which offers same rate of interest but one at simple interest and other at compound interest. If difference between interest earned from these schemes after 2 years is Rs 360 then find the rate percentage?
