President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurates Seva Kunj Ashram : Current Affairs Special Series

President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurates Seva Kunj Ashram

President Ram Nath Kovind addressed on the occasion of the inauguration of newly constructed buildings of Seva Kunj Ashram at Chapki in Sonbhadra, Uttarpradesh.He remembered Birsa Munda on the occasion and said that Birsa Munda struggled relentlessly to protect the forest wealth and culture from the exploitation of the British. He has been a full of inspiration and role model (ideal) not only for the tribal communities but for all citizens too. While inaugurating the newly constructed buildings of the ‘Seva Kunj Sansthan’ he said he feels happy to inaugurate the building and the construction of school and hostel buildings which was undertaken by NTPC. He appreciated this social welfare work. He is confident that the newly constructed buildings and other facilities will contribute to the overall development of the students of this institution. He also said that he believed that the soul of the country resided in rural and forest areas because if anyone wants to get acquainted with the roots of India, then one can choose to spend some time at a place like Sonbhadra.

The Central Government and state governments have launched and implemented various schemes for the overall development of rural and forest dwellers are keeping alive the tradition of intuitive knowledge received from their ancestors and carrying it forward. Government’s endeavor that forest dwellers remain an integral part of the modern development process while keeping their cultural heritage and identity intact.
