IBPS SO 2020 Preparation Strategy

Reasoning Ability: This section consists of 50 marks and aspirants find this section to be a good opportunity to score well in their exam. This section needs a lot of brainstorming. The following are the things that aspirants can prepare to ace this section.

1. Go through previous year’s papers 
2. Have a look at some reasoning quizzes to know the pattern of questions
3. Topics like: Blood Relations, Coding-decoding, Alphanumeric series, Order and ranking, Seating arrangement, Puzzles, etc. are frequently asked in this section.
4. Try to solve 4-5 seating arrangement type and Puzzle type questions daily to have a grip over them.

Quantitative Aptitude: Aspirants tend to find this section to be the toughest of all. This section carries a weightage of 50 marks out of 125. This section also demands a lot of practice and consistent efforts. There is a total of 50 questions in this section. Here are a few tips to improve your performance in this section.

1. Take up a sectional test and try to understand your strengths and weakness in the Quantitative Aptitude section.
2. Solve Data Interpretation Questions as it has a higher weightage than other topics.
3. Practice the previous year’s question papers and analyze your performance.

5. Work on your calculations and practice some calculation tricks. This will save your time and effort which can be invested in some other questions.

General Awareness

1. Read newspapers and magazines daily. This will help the aspirants to cover almost all the topics. Aspirants are also advised to make notes of important news and headlines for revision
