Union Cabinet has given the approval to set up NRA which will conduct the Common Eligibility Test (CET). This is one exam that will replace the preliminary exam of different exam testing agencies namely: SSC, Railways and IBPS. The exam will be conducted in 12 different languages as mentioned in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution. This is a golden opportunity for students to give the tests in their own language. In this space, we will be discussing about all the 12 different languages in which one can take this test. The CET exam will replace the preliminiary examination of the various exam testing agencies namely: IBPS, SSC and railways.
The NRA will conduct an Computer based test, CET score will be valid for three years and it is expected that the first CET exam is going to be conducted in 2021. As of now, only preliminary examination will be replaced by the CET and Mains and Interview will be conducted by the respective exam testing agency.
CET exam will just be an screening exam so that students can get eligible for the respective exam next stage like Tier-2 and 3. The score will be valid for three years and students can take the test as many times as one can and the best score will be considered. The bar is on the upper age limit and not on attempts.
