Dear Readers,
I am Nikunj (BA- @VatsNikunj), an engineering grad working as a scale 1 officer in an RRB in West UP. Graduated in 2013, I wanted a govt job of fairly good repute, hence started preparing for Bank officer, but the thing I did wrong then was that I didn’t give it my 100pc. A few months into the prep, I got my joining with the MNC that I was placed with and started working there but a few months in the corporate job were enough to make me realize that it wasn’t my cup of tea at all and then rectifying the earlier wrongs, I again geared up for preparation in July 2014 but this time with plan and vigour.
I joined Career Power weekend batch and started preparing alongside my job. Well, the biggest plus that CP carries is that unlike others in the business, it provides good teachers to the weekend batches as well. Kudos CP. I owe a large part of the selection to the able teachers I had.
Also I followed BA for job updates and current stuff. My mantra was to remove the clutter (mental and physical) from life that may distract you or might eat into your already scanty lot of time. Then, in April 2015, I got my first exam cleared. The results thenceforth have been:
BOB Manipal 2015 – Got Final selection
IBPS PO 2015- Vijaya Bank by Waiting list
SBI PO 2015- Missed final cutoff by 2.5 marks
RRB PO 2015- Selected through waiting list
BOB Manipal 2016 – Got Final selection
RBI Grade B – Couldn’t clear prelims
SBI PO 2016 – Missed final cutoff by 0.38mark.
IBPS PO 2016 – Got OBC.
What I did most and would suggest anyone is keep practicing speed tests and be focused in adversities because I was hugely disappointed to miss SBI PO 2016 by a very narrow margin, but I tried to keep moving on with the practice as recommended by the faculty and as judged by me over the period of time and then results did improve.
Here’s congratulations to all the selected all the best to the aspiring. Never give up. Be busy always.
