History of National Youth Day
The Government of India first declared Swami Vivekananda’s birthday, 12th January as National Youth Day in 1984, Since then the day has been observed as Nationa Youth Day across the country. The government’s main motive to celebrate this day is to honor and cherish the idea of Swami Vivekanand and motivate youth to work hard, contribute to the overall development of the country and take inspiration from the leader’s life. It is a great way to wake up the eternal energy of the youth as well as to make the country develop.

The main objective of celebrating National Youth Day is to keep the idea of Swami Vivekananda alive and motivate young people.
