National Safety Day History
The day was first organized by the Ministry of Labour and Employment in Delhi on December 11-13, 1965, with President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan in attendance. Since 1971 after the creation of the National Safety Council of India, the day is celebrated annually on 4 March.
