Maharashtra alert on Covid situation
Maharashtra CM, Uddhav Thackeray called the corona virus situation in the state ‘serious’ and warned that lockdown situation might be arise again in the state if daily Covid cases continue to rise in the next two weeks.
Maharashtra recorded daily 5000 covid-19 cases in the state since last few days. It has been seen a sudden spike of over 6000 covid-19 cases last Monday. According to officials with 5,210 new infections, Maharashtra’s corona virus tally rose to 21, 06,094. The state has witnessed an upsurge in corona virus cases since 10th of February with more than 6000 new cases of Covid. CM Thackeray hold meeting on this situation with BMC commissioner and officials to take control. He also said that it would take ‘8 to 15 days’ to diagnose if the current upsurge in daily figures is a fresh wave of infections and He warned people to follow Covid-19 protocols to avoid lockdown.
Some areas of Maharashtra which facing high covid infection are Amravati, Nagpur, Pune, Aurangabad, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Nashik, Pimpri and kalyan-Dombivli.
Some restrictions imposed on these high alert areas are: Essential services will be permitted between only 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., strict action will be taken against people who would violate the guidelines and home isolation is not option in some areas.
