IOCL Junior Operator Selection process
For the Junior Operator and Junior Attendant posts the selection process includes two main stages: Computer Based Test (CBT) and Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT), which is a qualifying test.
For the Junior Business Assistant posts the selection process also includes Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Computer Proficiency Test (CPT), which is also a qualifying test.
Computer-Based Test (CBT)
The CBT is an objective-type test, meaning you will answer multiple-choice questions by clicking your answers. It is a time-bound test of 2 hours (120 minutes). You will have a total of 100 questions, each carrying 1 mark. There is no need to type anything, just select the correct options using the mouse.
Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT) and Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
- Junior Operator and Junior Attendant:
After passing the CBT, candidates for these posts will undergo the SPPT. This test will check your ability to perform certain tasks, and it is qualifying. This means that you need to pass it to proceed, but no marks are given for this stage. - Junior Business Assistant:
After the CBT, candidates will take the CPT, which checks your skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You will need to perform 20 out of 30 commands correctly to qualify. Again, this is a qualifying test, and no marks are awarded.
