PM Modi Launched mYoga App
On 21st June 2021, the Ministry of Ayush has launched the mYoga app in collaboration with World Health Organization (WHO). This app aims to educate people about the benefits of Yoga, its use. mYoga app will consist of audio and video clips which will help the user to perform the yoga more efficiently.
Who started International Yoga Day?
It all started when Indian Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi offered a suggestion to the United Nations to consider a day to be celebrated as Yoga Day. The United Nations was already mesmerized by the benefits of yoga and also checked out how it has been influencing different countries across the world. Hence, it was in the year 2014, when the UN declared 21st June to be celebrated as International Yoga Day each year.
