All About Covaxin

Covaxin is currently the strongest candidate as the vaccine for the deadly coronavirus that is  developed by BBIL in collaboration with the National Institute of Virology (NIV) for the treatment of highly infectious and deadly disease COVID-19.

Developement Of Covaxin

Covaxin has been developed by a strain of the novel coronavirus from an asymptomatic Covid-19 patient and transferred it to BBIL, at the beginning of May 2020. The company then started working on developing an “inactivated” or dead virus.  Covaxin is using the dead virus and hence when it will be injected into the human body, it will neither replicate nor infect the person because it is a dead virus. All it will do is to produce the antibody against  that particular virus. The dead virus or the inactivated vaccine has a proven safety record and thus it is being used.

We are hoping that this vaccine proves become a success and can help to cure this deadly virus that has overtaken the world for so long.
