Guidelines by the Railway Ministry for Passengers
Apart from the list of these special trains, there are also some guidelines released by the Railway Ministry in a notice form.
- The 15 special trains running from New Delhi to different parts of the country will have stoppages in the major stations in the route.
- All the 15 trains will just have ac compartments such as First Class, Second AC, and Third AC.
- The tickets for these trains will be available only through e-ticketing on the website of IRCTC.
- The passengers will be able to get an Advanced Reservation Period of a maximum of 7 days.
- The passengers should be carrying their food and drinks so that they do not have to come in contact with anyone else in the route.
- The passengers will reach the destination stations at least 90 minutes in advance so that they can go under thermal screening before they can disperse to their respective locations.
- The Railways will be not providing any linens, blankets, and other essentials, and hence the passengers are requested to carry their own stuff.
These guidelines are stated by the Railway Ministry keeping in mind the social distancing of the passengers while helping them to reach their respective destinations with ease and without any risk of contamination.
Apart from these special trains, there are also two major announcements made in the case of the Shramik Special trains for the laborers and migrants. The trains will have three stoppages now in between and the middle berth will be also made available to accommodate more passengers.
