Indian Bank application for admission to the one year Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) course at Indian Bank Manipal School of Learning for the post of Probationary Officer notification has been announced today and there are many doubts/queries coming in the mind of aspiring candidates. What are the posts available under this recruitment project?
The recruitment will be done only for the post of Probationary Officer.
When will be the exam conducted?
This year the exam will be conducted in two faces: Preliminary as well as mains.
Online Examination – Preliminary  – 06.10.2018
Online Examination – Main – 04.11.2018

When will the result be declared?
Tentative date of Result of Online exam – Preliminary 17.10.2018
No result date has been announced for mains exam result.

How many vacancies will be there?
The total number of vacancies available is 417.
Will there be a common interview after the written result?
Yes, a common interview will take place after the written result.
Will the exam conducted online or offline (OMR Based)?
The exam will be conducted online.
What is the age criteria to apply in this common written exam?
Age: As on opening date of Online registration
Minimum 20 years
Maximum 30 years 
What is the relaxation given to the different categories?
SC/ST – 5 years
OBC – 3 years
PWD (Gen) – 10 years
PWD (SC/ST) – 15 years
PWD (OBC) – 13 years
All persons who have ordinarily been domiciled in the state of J & K during 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989 – 5 years  
What is the educational qualification required for various posts in this recruitment process?
A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University (or) any Equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
I have scored 50% in Graduation. Am I eligible to sit for the exam?
Yes if you have a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University (or) any Equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government
I am 19 years old. Can I sit for the exam?
No. The minimun age required is 20years. 
What is the application Fee?
1. SC/ST/PWD – Rs. 100
2. General and OBC – Rs. 600
When will the registration start?
Registration started from 01.08.2018 to 27.08.2018
What will be the exam center of the exam?
Candidates can apply for all vacancies from the list of centres given in the official notification. 
I am from Animation/Fashion background. What option should I chose?
You should choose “others”.
What is the language used in the exam? What is the meaning of “bilingual”?
The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi.
On what basis the Merit List will be drawn?
The weightage (ratio) of the Main examination and interview will be 80:20 respectively. The combined final score of candidates will be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Main Examination and Interview. 
What is the cut-off for being recruited?
There is no fixed cutoff for the exam. It depends on the performance of the candidates each year. Your final score is calculated based on your performance in the written test and the interview.
Is there a sectional cut-off in the exam?
Yes, there is a sectional cut-off in the exam. You have to clear every section in order to secure a seat for the Interview.
I have cleared the overall cutoff of the exam. However, I could not clear the cutoff for the general knowledge section. Am I still eligible?
Unfortunately, you are not eligible to move to the interview stage. You must clear the cutoff for each section and the overall cutoff as well.
How can I apply for the exam?
You have to apply online for the exam through official website. Note down the details of the application process from the notification of the exam . You can pay online only.

Is there a criterion for negative marking?
There is negative marking of ¼ marks for every wrong answer.
What is the Programme fees for this course?
The fees for this Course will be Rs.3, 50, 000/- (all inclusive of boarding, Lodging and course fees, other fees, etc.) plus applicable taxes to be paid by the student.
Loyalty Bonus
Bank may consider refunding of interest/loan either in its entirety or portions in a deferred manner at the rate of 20% each year in annual installments starting from the end of the fifth year if he/she continues in service with the Bank.
