After analyzing the previous year’s analysis trend, we can expect the IBPS RRB Clerk Prelims Exam 2025 to be easy and the IBPS RRB PO Prelims Exam 2025 to be Easy-Moderate.
From the reasoning section, candidates can expect the questions from the topics of Puzzle, Seating Arrangement, Inequality, Blood Relation, Syllogism, Distance & Direction, Alphanumeric Series, etc. In the IBPS RRB Prelims Exam 2025, the quantitative aptitude section mainly focuses on the topics of simplification, approximation, series(missing & wrong numbers), quadratic equations, arithmetic, and data interpretation.
How does the IBPS RRB marking scheme work?
In the IBPS RRB exam, how candidates’ scores are calculated follows rules set by the exam authority. These rules decide how marks are given for correct answers and deducted for wrong ones. For the Preliminary Exam, each correct answer usually earns 1 mark. However, for every wrong answer, a penalty of 0.25 marks is deducted (which is a quarter of the mark assigned to that question). Questions that are left unanswered do not lead to any penalties. In the Main Exam, the marking scheme is similar. Correct answers generally earn 1 mark each, while incorrect answers incur a penalty of 0.25 marks (again, a quarter of the mark for that question). Importantly, there is no negative marking for questions that are not attempted. This approach ensures that candidates scores are calculated fairly by considering both correct and incorrect responses in both the preliminary and main exams.
