The IBPS RRB Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern features a time-constrained assessment aimed at evaluating candidates’ proficiency. It only lasts for 45 minutes and has 80 questions multiple-choice questions across sections like Reasoning Ability and Numerical Ability. Each correct answer usually carries one mark, while there is a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect response. To qualify for the next stage of the examination, candidates must clear both the sectional and overall cut-offs.

IBPS RRB Clerk Mains Exam Pattern

In the IBPS RRB Clerk mains exam, candidates will have to score a total of 200 questions across 5 sections, with each section containing 40 questions. They will be allotted a composite time of 2 hours to complete the entire examination. It’s important to note that for each incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
