IBPS RRB PO Mains 2018 Recruitment Exam is over, Now it’s time for the much awaited IBPS RRB PO Mains Exam Analysis & Review (30th September 2018). Many students have appeared for this exam today and this brings them to a step closer in their journey of getting a Job in govt. sector. Without wasting any moment, let’s get straight to the analysis for which you are all waiting for. Overall the exam was of a Moderate Level .
IBPS RRB Officer Scale-I Mains 2018 exam had 5 sections in the objective test of 200 marks – Quantitative Aptitude, English/Hindi Language, Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, and General Awareness for a composite duration of 120 minutes.
The level of reasoning was Moderate. Following were the types of puzzles asked:

QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE( Moderate-Difficult)
This section had 40 questions for 50 marks. The level of Quantitative Aptitude was moderate to difficult and there were 4 sets of Data Interpretation Questions. Following were the types of DI:

HINDI LANGUAGE (Moderate-Difficult)
This section had 40 questions for 40 marks. The level of Hindi Language section was Moderate to Difficult. There ware two sets of Reading Comprehension consisting 5 questions in each which included 1-2 vocab based questions of antonym and synonym. There were also 2 sets of cloze tests among them one set was based on finding the suitable idiom for the blanks.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE (Moderate)
The level of English Language section was Moderate. There only one set of Reading Comprehension in each which included 2-3 questions were of antonym and synonym. There were also 2 types of error detection: one was based on sentences and the other was based on vocabulary.

GENERAL AWARENESS (Moderate)
Most of the questions were from banking and current affairs. To the surprise of candidates , in this examination IBPS asked current affairs dating back to 3-4 months rather than the recent ones. There were only a few questions from static awareness. The current affairs questions were mainly from the news and events of April, May and June Month.

COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE (Moderate)
The level of this section was very basic most of the questions were from basics of OOPS programming and concepts. Around 10 questions were there from MS Office and 5 to 6 questions were related to terminologies of the Internet. 4 to 5 questions from Encryption and decryption. The level was a bit moderate when compared with computer knowledge section of last year’s IBPS RRB PO Mains exam.
