IBPS RRB Officer Scale- I Success Story of Mayank Lamba

Hello aspirants, Bankers Adda is back with another success story. IBPS RRB Officer Scale- I have successfully declared its final result and many congratulations to those candidates who have got selected and keep sending us your success stories with your picture so we can share them with our students to motivate them. Here, Mayank Lamba has shared his success story, let’s read it.

I am Mayank Lamba from Jalandhar, Punjab.

I have cleared both IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 and IBPS RRB Office Assistant 2020.
I have done MSc in Bioinformatics and after completion of post-graduation, I chose banking as my career.
So I started preparation in 2018 and gave many papers like
LIC AAO 2019- couldn’t clear pre
IBPS PO 2019- cleared pre and mains but missed by 2marks in final merit
IBPS CLERK 2019- missed by 6marks in final merit.
So it was the time in 2020 when I was totally demotivated because every time I missed the merit list with very little margin. But my family and friends supported me throughout the journey. They have always motivated me for my better and always assured me that this time I will crack. Their motivation made me determinant that even in the corona pandemic I was persistent with my studies.
So it was the first time I Appeared in RRBs 2020
IBPS RRB Officer Scale1- cleared and selected in Prathma Up Bank
IBPS RRB Office Assistant-cleared and selected in Prathma Up Bank
I think persistence and dedication are the two keys that make you successful. And one should always be focused on integrated preparation for pre and mains.
My strategy
For quant- I did sectional mocks on daily basis, focused on weak areas, practiced more for the scoring parts like DI, simplification, approximation, etc.
For reasoning- I did a lot of puzzle practice, new pattern questions, previous year questions, sectional mocks, chapter tests etc
For English – I read editorial daily, sectional mocks, previous year questions.
I prepared both pre and mains together so my approach was always mains oriented.
For general awareness – I dedicatedly followed Ashish Gautam Sir, his daily current affairs session helped me a lot in remembering so many important facts. And his special classes during the mains exam was also very helpful.
I purchased the Adda test series from which I prepared my mains by giving mocks and sectional mocks.
Lastly, I would like to thank all the mentors, my family, my friends, and all those who supported me in my journey.?
Thank you
