IBPS PO Prelims Exam Analysis 2018:
IBPS PO is the most sought-after recruitment in the banking industry. Several aspirants are burning candles at both ends to get a seat for themselves in this prestigious bank. 13th October is the first day of the first phase of this exam, i.e., prelims. Many students appeared for this exam and the competition will be very tough this time. Therefore, it is necessary that one gets aware about the type of questions being asked in the exam so that you get an idea about how to plan your strategy to attempt the questions in the exam and manage your time accordingly.
This year there is the sectional timing of 20 minutes in the Prelims Exam, its important for all banking aspirants to go through the review once. Exam analysis and review can help the aspirants who are yet to appear in upcoming shifts of IBPS PO Prelims to get an idea of the difficulty level and expected pattern of questions in Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, and English Language sections. The examination held in this shift was of Moderate-Difficult level. The level of examination has been changed in the second shift with increase in difficulty level in all three sections. The order of occurrence of sections was English, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude

Quantitative Aptitude (Moderate-Lengthy)
The level of Quantitative Aptitude section in the second shift was moderate to difficult. In the first shift there were only two sets of data interpretation but in the second shift there were three: Line Graph, Caselet and Tabular DI.
You can expect changes in other upcoming shifts of IBPS PO Prelims as well. Line graph Data Interpretation was do-able whereas the other two sets were lengthy. There were no questions of approximation or simplification.

English Language (Moderate- Difficult)
The second shift of IBPS PO Prelims brought changes in the types of questions asked in comparison with the first shift. In this shift there were around 5 question of match the following type similar to the one asked in English Language Section of SBI PO Pre 2018. There was one set of Reading Comprehension with 7 questions where 2 questions were related to vocabulary. The passage of RC was based on an article related to placement of students in universities. There were also around 5 questions of Phrase or Word replacement. Clearly vocabulary based questions comprised of a major portion in this shift.

The level of reasoning was also changes from Moderate in the first shift to Moderate- Difficult in the second shift. There were 5 sets of puzzles and Seating Arrangement, following are the types
