IBPS PO Nationality

A candidate applying for the IBPS CRP/Bank PO Examination must be one of the following which are listed below if you come under any of these points you are eligible to appear for the exam.

  1. Citizen of India
  2. The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  3. Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
  4. Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, or Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

IBPS PO Mains Exam Pattern 2024

In the Mains exam, there a two section first section contains a total number of 155 questions that will be asked for a maximum of 200 marks from English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability and General Awareness. The time allotted for this section to solve the paper will be 3 Hrs. The second section contains an English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) with 2 Questions containing a total of 25 marks with a time allotment of 30 min.

IBPS PO Interview Process

The IBPS PO Interview does not have a specific topic to cover. However, it is recommended to concentrate on general knowledge, current affairs and key finance-related subjects while preparing for the Probationary Officer Interview.

The interview carries a weightage of 100 marks, and a minimum score of 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD) is required to qualify for this phase. The final result is determined by the marks obtained in both the Interview and Main exam, with a weightage ratio of 20:80 respectively.

IBPS PO 2024 Selection Process

The IBPS PO Selection Process 2024 consists of three stages. The first stage is the Preliminary Exam, which is a qualifying exam. It tests candidates on English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. To move to the next stage, candidates must meet the sectional and overall cut-off, but the Prelims marks are not included in the final selection.
