English Language

English language can help you to boost your final score. Usually in the main examination of a bank exam has 35 questions carrying 40 marks because some of them are of 1.5 marks while some other are of 1 mark. Majority of the questions are from Reading comprehensions, Para jumbles & English Grammar. Given below are some of the tips which might help you to score maximum marks in this section:

Reading Comprehensions– You have clear the prelims which means you have a good reading speed also in mains it is more about accuracy. The passage will be difficult and you can see an array of topics like: Political, Science, Defense etc. You can only ace them if you read newspaper daily.

Para Jumbles- This is another topic which is asked in examination. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate to high. You can only solve them if you have good command over reading comprehension.

Grammar– Go through the basics of  all the topics like: Noun, Pronoun, Adjective etc. Practice as much questions as possible to remember all the rules related to this topic.

Reasoning Ability

Reasoning ability section is mostly dominated by the puzzles & seating arrangement. You have cleared the prelims this means that you have good knowledge of the basics of puzzles and seating arrangement. Given below is the strategy to ace this section:

Puzzles and Seating Arrangement- You can ace this topic by practicing only. Not every question is doable. Make sure that you attempt the puzzles which you have practiced before. This topic can be merged with other topics as well like blood-relation, inequality etc. Student need to be aware about all these topics to solve the puzzles.

Syllogism– Syllogism can be tricky. Usually the pattern which we see in mains is different that from prelims. In mains, conclusions are given and students are expected to find out the statement from the options, from which these conclusions can be drawn and vice-versa.

Inequality– In inequality, students are just expected to choose the correct option depicting the correct relation between the two alphabets. This relation are: greater than, smaller than, greater than equal to, smaller than equal to and equal to. Examiner  increase the difficulty level of these type of questions, by either merging with coding-decoding or Direction sense.

Coding-Decoding– Practice can make you perfect in this topic. Certain statements will be coded in certain language or order and students have to decode it and answer the questions accordingly.
