Dussehra is one of the biggest festival of India. Although, it is celebrated in different way across different regions but the zeal and enthusiasm remains the same. As per the Indian mythology, Lord Rama killed Ravana on this day. The whole story must have been heard by you multiple times. This day is basically celebrated to mark the victory of good over the evil. Plays are organised termed as Ramleela depicting the story of Ramayana.
The story of Dussehra revolves around the Lord Rama, Sita (wife of Rama) and Ravan, the king of Lanka as well as the main villion. Lord Rama, king of Ayodhya was sent to exile by his step mother. His wife, Sita and brother Laxman accompanied him through this journey. Ravana, one of the intellectual brahmana falls in the pride of his knowledge and power. He abducted Sita and the battle starts from there. Lord Rama along with many others fought for Sita and in the end killed Ravana and the day is celebrated as Dussehra. Ravana has a strong fighting force, still Lord Rama and his force won the battle. The story reveals that pride takes you down. The power you have today is not permanent especialy if you use it for negative purpose. There is an end to every evil.
There is negativity inside everyone. Those who continues to remain with the negativity and pride are most probably going to raise the demon inside them. If you are a student who is not going in the right direction, you will fall in the trap of negativity. You will see wrong in everything. You will never thought of other’s welfare. You will do the things that is not meant to be done. Overall you will become someone that is considered as evil. The demon inside you will kill your goodness and positivity. The question is how will you fight your demons?
Fight your Demon
Power, money, prestige sometimes awakes the demon inside you. But, you can deal with it with positivity. Like the Ravana in the story was a knowledgable person but still committed a major sin due to which he died. You have to kill the demon inside you before it takes your life away. Here are few ways to fight demon:
- Set a goal that will not stop you from indulging in unnecessary activities.
- Avoid negative thoughts and people as well.
- Do not ever hurt some one intentionally.
- Do not misuse you power. Instead, use it for the welfare of people.
- If you are preparing for exams, Fight your laziness and the habit of procastination as they can be the biggest demon hurdling your success.
