The United States of America and India have hosted the 08th Annual Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in Hyderabad, India on 28-30 November 2017. This year’s Summit highlighted the theme ‘Women First, Prosperity for All’. It focused on supporting women entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth globally. Advisor to the President Ivanka Trump headlined the United States delegation to the Summit.
The summit was organized by NITI Aayog in partnership with the Government of the United States of America.
The Summit brought together entrepreneurs, investors, educators, government officials and startup ecosystem supporters to the world’s most important event on entrepreneurship. GES 2017 presented a unique opportunity to connect and establish meaningful partnerships amongst entrepreneurs, investors and ecosystem supporters.
The summit was addressed by The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, Ms. Ivanka Trump, Advisor to President Trump.
This year the summit primarily focused on four innovative, high-growth industries-
  1. Healthcare and Life Sciences,
  2. Digital Economy And Financial Technology,
  3. Energy & Infrastructure,
  4. Media and Entertainment.
