Common Written Exam for ECGC will be conducted in online mode.
☛ What is the Structure of Examination?
The structure of the examinations which will be conducted online are as follows:
A) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs):
Yes, there will be interview process. The total marks allotted for Interview are 60. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of Main exam and interview will be 80:20 respectively.

For Officer Scale-I Age Limit: 20 to 30 years

☛ What is the educational qualification required for various posts in this recruitment process?
An Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accounts of India (CA)/Institute of Cost & Works Accounts of India
OR
An Associate member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ACS)
OR
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)
OR
Master of Business Administration(MBA) (preferably Marketing/Finance) from a University/Institute recognized by Government of India
OR
Post graduate in Economics/International Trade/Mathematics/ Statistics from a University recognized by Government of India
☛ I have given my final year graduation exams but the result has not been declared yet. Can I apply?
The candidate must possess the requisite educational qualification as on 26.10.2016.
Degrees obtained from the recognised Universities or Institutes recognised by the
Govt. of India only will be considered.
Candidates who are awaiting their results of the qualifying examination OR who have not passed the qualifying examination on or before 26.10.2016 are not eligible.

Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates.

Registration will start from 5.10.2016 and will end on 26.10.2016
☛ I have scored 55% in Graduation. Am I eligible to sit for the exam?
Yes, you can apply as there is no percentage criterion. You just need to be a graduate.
☛ I am 19 years old. Can I sit for the exam?
No, You must be at least 20 years of age to apply for the posts of Probationary Officer.
☛ How to calculate the Percentage?
The percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the marks obtained by the candidate in all the subjects in all semester(s)/year(s) by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subject, if any. This will be applicable for those Universities also where Class / Grade is decided on basis of Honours marks only.
The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%
☛ What is the cut-off for being recruited?
There is no fixed cut-off. It depends on the performance of the candidates. Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Examination and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview.
☛ Is there a criterion for negative marking?
There is negative marking of ¼ marks for every wrong answer.
