Sol. Use ‘of’ after ‘loss’ as the correct syntax is “loss of something” e.g. ‘loss of blood/prestige/ health/ money’ etc. However it is to be noted that ‘the loss of or damage to my article’ is a synthesis of two different phrases, ‘the loss of my article’, ‘the damage to my article’.
