Documents Required for DV Process At the Time of IBPS Clerk, PO and SO Joining

The Document Verification process is a critical step in the IBPS Clerk, PO and SO recruitment process. Candidates are advised to double-check their documents and ensure they meet the eligibility criteria before appearing for the verification process. Proper preparation and submission of the required documents will ensure a smooth transition to joining their respective banks. Candidates must submit the following documents at the time of DV and joining:

1. Essential Documents for All Candidates

Interview Call Letter: A printout of the valid call letter issued for the interview round (for the IBPS PO & SO).

Online Application Form: A valid system-generated printout of the application form submitted during registration.

Proof of Date of Birth: Birth certificate issued by a competent authority or SSC/ Class 10 certificate displaying the date of birth.

Photo Identity Proof: Any government-issued ID such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, PAN Card, Passport, or Driving License.

Educational Qualification Certificates:

  • Graduation mark sheets and certificates from a recognized university.
  • Proper documents from the university/board confirming the declaration of the final result.

2. Category-Wise Specific Documents

SC/ST/OBC Certificate:

  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories must provide a valid caste certificate in the prescribed format issued by a competent authority.
  • OBC candidates falling under the creamy layer are not eligible for OBC reservation and must have indicated their category as General.

EWS Certificate: Candidates claiming the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) reservation must submit an Income and Asset Certificate issued by the appropriate authority.

Disability Certificate: Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) must provide a disability certificate issued by the District Medical Board. Candidates who used a scribe during the exam must submit the prescribed scribe declaration form.

Ex-Serviceman Documents: Ex-servicemen must submit a copy of their Service or Discharge book along with a pension payment order.

3. Other Cases

No Objection Certificate (NOC): Candidates working in government, semi-government, or public sector undertakings (including nationalized banks) must produce an NOC from their employer. Conditional NOCs issued for specific banks will not be accepted.

Experience Certificates: If applicable, candidates must submit valid experience certificates (either hard copies, digitally signed copies, or received via email from a valid source, subject to verification).

Certificate for 1984 Riot Affected Persons: Candidates eligible for age relaxation under the Rehabilitation Package must provide a certificate from the District Magistrate.

Additional Documents: Any other relevant documents required for eligibility verification.

Important Notes for Document Verification

  • Candidates will not be permitted for the DV or joining if they fail to produce the required documents.
  • Non-submission of relevant documents will lead to immediate disqualification from the recruitment process.
  • No documents should be directly sent to IBPS/Nodal Banks
  • The authenticity of Educational Qualifications, Caste Certificates, EWS Certificates, and Disability Certificates will be verified with the issuing authority. Any false submission may lead to legal action and permanent disqualification.
  • It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to submit genuine documents. Any wrongful submission, even after joining, will lead to legal consequences.
