Study the graph carefully to answer the following questions.
Q1. What is the difference of average of no. of buyers of Adda Ace publication and Kiran Publication across all the cities( in thousand) ?
Q2. Total number of book buyer in Mumbai is what percent of number of book buyer in Delhi ? (Answer will be in approximate manner)
Q3. The number of buyers of Adda Ace Publication and Kiran Publication together in Kanpur is what approximate percent of the number of buyers of Adda Ace Publication and Arihant Publication in Chennai ?
Q4. Find the ratio of total number of buyers in all publications in Mambai to the total number of buyers in all publications in Gurugram ?
Total number of buyers in Gurugram = 1950
Required ratio = 1700 : 1950 = 34 : 39
Q5. Total number of buyers of Adda Ace Publications in all cities is approximately what percent more/less than the total number of buyers of Kiran Publication in all cities ?
Q6. The profit obtained by selling a thing in Rs. 840 is twice the loss occurred after selling the same thing in Just Rs. 600. Find cost price of thing?
Let cost price of thing is Rs. x

840 – x = 2 (x – 600)
3x = 2040
x = Rs. 680
Q7. The One year before, the age of a person was 4 times of his son’s age. 6 years hence, his age will be 9 years more than twice age of his son. What is the ratio of their current ages?
Q8. Ridipta’s present age is three years less than twice her age 12 years ago. Also, the ratio of Raj’s present age to Ridipta’s present age is 4 : 9. What will be Raj’s age after 5 years?
∴ Acc. To Question 9x = 2(9x – 12) – 3 ⇒ x = 3
∴ Raj’s present age = 4x = 12 yrs
Required age of Raj = 12 + 5 = 17 yrs.
Q9. The speed of a boat in still water is 12 kmph. If the boat covers 36 km upstream in 4 hours. How much time it will take to cover same distance in downstream ?
∴ (12 – S) × 4 = 36 ⇒ S = 3 km/hr
⇒ Required time = 36/15 = 2.4 hr.
Q10. In a bag there are three mangoes and five oranges. Two fruits are chosen randomly. What is the probability that one is mango and other is orange?
